Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the sheerest of them all? (HAHA, get it??)
I apologize for whatever it is I tried to do in the last sentence. Anyway.
Another day, another trend. And today's trend? Sheer. Or mesh. Sheer and mesh panels, or fully sheer and mesh garments. All trending. All fashionable. All over the runways.
Wait, wait - before you exit this page because a sheer outfit is just not something you're comfortable with, hear me out.
You really don't have to wear a completely see-through dress to accomplish this trending look. In fact, I'd argue against that. All you have to do is choose just one area you're comfortable exposing, like your arms, knees, back, or shoulders, and then find a garment that's sheer in just that spot.
Or, if you're really hesitant about exposing any area at all, you can always opt for a sheer jacket. This way, everything's covered, you feel comfortable, people get to see the beautiful outfit you're wearing underneath your jacket because it's see-through, and you'll look super fashionable and right on trend.
So I have a see-through pair of rain boots. Well, actually, I gave them to a friend. She said she's never gotten more compliments on any one garment in her entire life. I also have a see-through rain coat that's kind of awesome as well. Just wanted to share that with you. Moving on.
I love how even though all the clothing here has a sheer insert somewhere on it, so many of the pieces still manage to remain really classy. Like the first dress above. So this trend isn't just for a rebellious teenager. It's for your grandmas too (okay, maybe that's pushing it a little).
