I've always been a ruffle hater. Ruffles just seemed so frumpy and old-womanish to me. Until this year. Now, give me all the ruffles.

Okay, I still don't like the blouses with a single, pathetic layer of ruffles going down the middle. Blech.

But I'm all over tops with horizontal tiers of ruffles. And skirts with flounce ruffle hems. And whimsical maxi dresses with bell sleeves. And wrap dresses with ruffles all across and around. These styles I am very much into.

Victorian-inspired clothing was seen on many runways for this spring and summer. Puffy sleeves, everything floral, detailed collars, and ruffles, of course, were amongst the many Victorian styles featured.

What I'm trying to say is, ruffles are a big trend for this season. That's all you really need to know.

Fifth top pictured - I got my eye on you. Mini satin pink dress with a flounce ruffle hem - I love you. The rest of you guys - you're great too.
