The truth is, I've had this thing for sock boots for quite a while now. This time, last year I had already had a couple pairs of sock boots sitting in my closet. So the "currently" in the title of this post isn't 100% accurate. Well, it is accurate, because I still love sock boots currently. I just never got around to making a post on them last year.

But I guess now is as good a time as ever to feature sock boots, because it's the end of August. Which means you're totally allowed to start thinking about and purchasing boots. Because the second September hits, boots are going to be making their way right back onto my feet.

And also, sock boots are still very much in style this year. Like more than last year. Because last year I had to go on a long and arduous hunt for sock boots, and this year they're just EVERYWHERE.

So, above are forty pairs of sock boots, pictured in ascending price order. Oh, and by the way, a sock boot is basically just a boot that hugs the leg like a sock. It can be made of a stretch fabric or even just leather, so long as it's tightly hugging the ankle and/or calf. A sock boot doesn't actually have to have a sock attached to it, although you would be able to find such a boot in the collage above (it's the last pair featured).
