Currently Loving: Ecru Tones

I have a plan. The plan is to wear lots of whites and creams and ivories and eggshells and oatmeals this spring and summer. Ecru tones, in short.

The funny thing is, I swore off cream for years. It washed me out too much, so I stuck with stark whites and tans and beiges. But I recently discovered that unlike pure ivory, certain creams, ones with more grey or pink undertones, do work for me. So now I’m back on the ecru train.

And I’m definitely overdoing it. I love sporting head to toe ecru outfits. I’m talking a cream turtleneck/tee, topped with an ecru shirt/cardigan, paired with an eggshell slip skirt, finished off with white sneakers/mules. Monotone looks, in essence, but always with a few varying ecru tones in the outfit. It’s a thing I am loving.
