Hi there, welcome to my blog!
Hi-ya, I'm Leah, and this is my blog, Truffles and Trends (clearly). The blog, in its simplest characterization, is about baking and fashion, my two passions.
When I was brainstorming on what to write about for my very first post (eek), I originally thought of posting my perspective and convictions on these two subject matters. But then I thought, "eh, why should I bore them all right off the bat?"
So for those of you interested in my page-long rant and life story, please feel free to visit my About page. For all you others (I'd expect it's a vast majority, but I really wouldn't mind if you looked at that About page to get a feel for what this blog is all about. I know, shameless plugging on my blog for my blog), I shall just give you an abbreviated version.
Here on Truffles and Trends, I won't be posting every latest runway show that comes out of fashion week, because, let's be honest, you can get those photos on bajillions of websites. Occasionally, I may post my take on a certain collection or a collage of my favorites. In general, I'll usually be posting my shopping and style picks, my opinions, my... You get the picture.
If you don't know how to pronounce the name of every haute couture fashion designer, if you don't know the new collections of every designer completely and exhaustively, if you've never attended fashion week, if you don't breathe fashion (I breathe oxygen) - you've come to the right place! If you love clothing and style and fashion in a lighthearted and non-inferior-complex-inducing way, you've come to the right place!
And now onto the baking. Everyone's gotta eat, so why not feast your eyes and taste buds upon the most delicious baked goods out there?! Contrary to my blog name, I won't just be posting truffle recipes. Unless you insist (no, even then I won't. But I do want to hear your opinions on all things anyway). I'll be posting my favorite recipes that I've hoarded over my lifetime, usually with my tweaks and modifications.
Also, expect sarcasm (they say it's a sign of weakness; I say it's good stuff), lots of parentheses (like this), and a "totally unrelated note" (a humorous - at least in my opinion - picture) to go along with every post.
Here's the first totally unrelated note:
