So yeah, I'm afraid we've concluded our collages of clothing made up of lightweight, summery fabrics. Because it's the last week of August. It's almost fall. It's time to move on. Sadly.

So say hello to the second fall trend to be highlighted on the blog for this season. Say hello to the BIGGEST fabric trend of this season: velvet. So. Much. Velvet.

So, so many designers featured velvet apparel for this fall. So velvet collage it is. Man, I'm writing "so" so many times. See, again!

There are 44 velvet options above. Dresses, jackets, tops, skirts, pants, sweaters, leggings, rompers, jumpsuits, shorts - you'd be surprised how many styles are made in velvet. Even bikinis. I'm serious - I saw velvet bikinis when I was collecting pieces for the velvet collage here. Almost as impractical as the open toe boots I posted the other day. Almost.

Plush, warm, soft, comforting - what's not to love? No wonder designers have been all over this fabric. I get it.
