YES. Yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes (that says “yes” a few times, not “eyes”).

We’ve already been over this. But chunky/lug sole/military style boots are the boot styles of the year. FO SHO (that’s “for sure,” in excited speak). I already made a post on chunky sole boots back in August (yes, I was that thrilled about chunky boots in the summer already).

But there’s another type of chunky boot style that often gets overlooked — I myself have been guilty of such neglect of attention — that I’ve recently started looking at in a new (read: obsessive) light: platform boots!

Now. Yes, chunky sole boots are platform boots. So there is some overlap between my last chunky boot post and this platform boot post. BUT. Platform boots also include boots that have that extra height in the front sole and (almost always) a chunky heel. I’m talking about the kinda boot you can see pictured second from last in the collage above (which, btw, I am infatuated with). These types of platform boots aren’t as rugged or casual or military-style, but they still got that extra layer of chunkiness and oopmh and style.
