5 Basic Style Types - Which One Are You?
I'm not labeling.
I'm not confining you to one style group.
But I do believe that there are five or so basic style types and that people's tastes will for the most part correlate with one of those categories. But, their tastes probably won't fall exclusively within one group.
What I mean is, you can have a general style that you tend to gravitate towards, but still like a little bit (or a lot a bit) of some of the other styles. Mmm-k?
Below I describe the five style categories with corresponding clothing items that I think belong in each group. Browse through these images to see which category you fall under. You will probably find that you like styles from a few of the groupings, but will mainly be drawn to one or two of the collections. Or, you will only like one collection. (Or, you won't like any of the items below. Which could be a problem. The problem: you either have no clothing in your closet because there's no style that you like, or you have clothing, but you don't like any of it. Bummer.)
Knowing your style type will help you discover your personal style and dress accordingly. You will start looking more like yourself and less like the mannequin in the store you shop most frequently at.
But its a journey, not a destination. I think you should forever be discovering your style; your style should always be evolving. Otherwise, how boring?!
